The morning started with some golf across the pond as Jordan Spieth took the Open Championship in dramatic fashion. What a great win for the native Texan.  Following the golf, my attention turned to Indianapolis and the "Brantley Gilbert Big Machine Brickyard 400".

I really believe it was a very smart move to feature one artist on the title sponsorship.  Brantley was a great choice and he deserves the praise. Not only is he one of the hardest working guy in country music, but also one of the most underrated.  His fan base is loyal, his music speaks to people, and even if you can't identify with him with the rough exterior, listen to his music and you'll have a connection quickly.

During the pre-race ceremony, Brantley and Apple Music released the following video.  Take a look.
