Days 41 & 42...

Days 41 & 42.... Day 41...What an awesome Saturday. The weather was a mixed bag of rain, sun, wind, and temperatures up and down. With the Rose Festival's Grand Floral Parade going thru downtown, the weather was always a concern. It did in fact rain on some people while others barely had sprinkles. Welcome to Portland in June. The Rose Festival low is a real thing. Normally, we don't start the summer season until July 5th. While it sounds funny, it's true...we do normally sit in the spring weather until early July. It was one of the those days where we had pop up showers that didn't really move. They set up shop over one place and can just dump rain. We had one of those showers over the bar, and it just dumped for what seemed a couple hours. The creek outside rose pretty quickly. I called in the increase to the NWS. Day 42...Happy Sunday. As you know, I've had some issues with my foot. It's almost back to normal, and thankful that the pain is almost gone. I watched Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoff and while Nashville ended up losing 2-0, and the series 4-2, what an incredible thing for a city to experience. The way they rallied around the team is something you can't put a price on. I've seen it with the Oregon Ducks and Portland Trail Blazers. I also watched the United States v. Mexico World Cup Qualifier. The US looked good, but a draw 1-1 was the best possible outcome. Proud of the way they played. Tomorrow starts week 15 on the job search. Praying its not too much longer.
