Day 43...Does The Heat Return?

Day 43... Does The Heat Return? As I was talking yesterday, the weather around here has been dismal. It's meteorological summer, yet we are stuck in the spring mode with showers and sun breaks. The 12z GFS model run this afternoon has quite the change in it. How does triple digits sound? Temperatures around 104? Seriously...that's HOT weather. The time frame starts next Tuesday and goes until Sunday. The following are the raw output numbers. 93, 98, 102, 106, 104. That's really really HOT. The lows stay in the upper 60's and lower 70's. That is incredible tough temperatures to sleep with at night. Now this is just the first run to show numbers like this, it could be a pattern change. I didn't have a chance to see tonight's 00z forecast so I don't know what it said. I'll keep an eye on this and hopefully we warm up, but not that hot.
