Days 525...526...

Day 525...

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope your weekend was great!  The weather is sure looking good for the rest of the week.  Temperatures will be climbing out of the 60's and will top out in the lower 70's.  It will still get very chilly at night, but the days will be really nice.  Unfortunately, Hurricane Michael is making his way toward the Florida Gulf Coast.  It will be interesting to see how the storm develops.  One small bright note is that once it makes landfall, the storm will be making a very fast exit to the Northeast.

Day 526...

Happy Tuesday!  Today I volunteered a couple hours to make calls for a political candidate here in Oregon. I had never volunteered, but I thought it was time to really get involved.  The calling process was pretty simple.  The computer program dialed the voters and if they picked up, I had a simple script to follow.  I had a lot of people simply hang up and others had opinions they wanted shared.  It was really a good experience.  I'd highly recommend going and giving a cause or candidate a couple hours of your time.

Tonight all eyes are on the Florida Gulf Coast.  Hurricane Michael was just upgraded to a category 4 storm with winds of 130mph.  The storm will make landfall during the day on Wednesday.  A cat 4 storm is major and will cause a lot of damage, mostly with storm surge and wind.  The one silver lining to this storm is that its a fast mover.  Once it makes landfall, it will quickly move to the Northeast.  Check out this satellite picture from NHC!

I'll be taping this weeks episode of B Squared on Thursday.  Hopefully we have some early stats on the storm.  Stay safe everyone!
