Happiest of Wednesday to everyone! I'm an aviation geek so I found this video out of Florida to be really interesting. I've thought about the rubber from the tires of an airplane staining the runway, but that's about the length of my thoughts...I didn't know airports were required to remove the rubber a few times a year. Check out the video from Fox 13.
I'd like to see one of our local stations here in Portland do this story. I'm sure we can work in the PDX carpet somehow!
Day 402...
Today wasn't a good day. In fact, today was probably one of the worst days ever. Just about 3:55pm this afternoon, I got a call from my Aunt Elaine. My grandmother, Ruth Pearl Corser, had finally gone home to be with my dad, my uncle Dick, and my Uncle Buddy. This woman was the rock of the family. She single handedly raised eleven children. Here is video from the last time I (we) saw Grandma in person.
On a happier note, my cousin Jordan turned 23 today. Happy Birthday cuz! I love you.
Day 403...
The news of my Grandma's passing has spread wide and far. Thank you to everyone who reached out. I am truly blessed to know you all care as much as you do. I will be getting back to everyone here soon. I know she is in a much better place and I'm so glad she is. Here is the obituary from The Jackson Citizen Patriot.
I need to be able to share my utmost thanks to my family in Michigan who took care of Grandma. Thank you for being her caretakers and being there when she needed you the most. Being 1500 miles away isn't easy, but I know that our love and your love was what got her to this point. Grandma was a fighter. It's time for all of us to fight to keep her memory alive.
