Days 299...300...301

Day 299...

What an interesting day.  Here we sit with temperatures above freezing, but yet we have a weather advisory up for NW Oregon, including the Portland Metro area.  I've seen snow in the air, but conflicting forecasts exist. I believe we are too warm for snow.  Others say the advisory is warranted for all areas.  I think again the magical number here will be about 500 feet in elevation if you want to see anything.  Here is the post from NWS Portland this morning.

Even with this, I still think we are too warm below 500 feet to see anything stick.  During the Facebook LIVE onslaught this past week, I mentioned the elevation website if you wanted to see what your elevation is.  You can find that here.

PM Addition:  The National Weather Service has dropped the Winter Weather Advisory for the lowlands and all areas outside the hills.

Day 300...

Happy Saturday!  What a game from the Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball team tonight.  They battled against a very good Arizona team who has come under fire.  Earlier today, we found out that the head coach Sean Miller would not be coaching the team tonight.  He is part of an FBI investigation in which he reportedly offered to pay $100,000 for a player to come to the school.  Oregon was able to pull out the win 98-93.  A great way to send off the seniors.

Day 301...

Is there such thing as Olympics remorse?  The Closing Ceremony is on and I can't believe the last seventeen days have flown by.  Did you see the Four Man Bobsled final last night?  Another tie at the "House of Speed."  In case you were wondering how long we must wait for the next Olympics, well here you go.  2020 the summer games return to Tokyo, 879 days away.  The 2022 winter games in Beijing are 1,440 days away.  I'm still feeling very Olympic.
