Oh What A Media Day !

Media day has come and gone. Things have settled back down to normal levels at the Rose Garden. All the promos and videos have been taped. The TV guys will start to break down and process the miles of film they shot today. The radio folks are editing the interviews and the print boys are writing the stories for tomorrow. I spent media day taping some interviews and taking pictures. The highlight of the day was seeing Greg Oden being driven around on a golf cart. He told us that he was thinking of buying a wheel chair to get around his house. He decided to pass on that. Oden also told us that not only is he a big movie fan, but loves to watch seasons of the popular television shows including "The Office" and "Family Guy". He told us that he also likes to download music and sleep as much as possible. You can check out the video below of Oden's New Whip !

Greg Oden and the rest of The Blazers sat down at 17 stations to do everything from tape a radio spot to taking a picture with a blank white board. (That board allows them to add content later in the year) Oden and Brandon Roy drew the biggest crowd of media to chat about the season. Brian Berger joined in the fun as well. We were able to get some of the guys to do some liners for us. It was good time to connect with the players. Darius Miles and Martell Webster took the role of camera men turning the tables on the media people. It was funny to see the players playing photographers. Kevin Pritchard and the coaching staff were present as well. Kevin took questions about the season and the preseason roster. Brent Petway, known as Air Georgia, has been added to the Blazer squad, much to the delight of one producer. ME ! I'm a huge Michigan football and basketball fan. Training Camp opens tomorrow morning in Tualatin at the Blazers Practice Facility. They will do two-a-days for the next few days and then start preseason ball next Tuesday evening when the L.A. Clippers come to town. This summer has flown by and I can't believe its October already. WOW !
