Durant Arrives In Portland

There was fanfare again present at PDX this evening. Only minutes after Greg Oden departed for Seattle, the other possible number one pick arrived in the Rose City. Kevin Durant, sporting a bright blue golf shirt, casually walked out of the south security check point into the waiting lights and cheers of media and fans gathered to welcome him to Portland. The media crowd was similar in size to the throng that greeted Greg Oden on Tuesday. ESPN was there, shooting more video on the two franchise changing players and the time spent in P-Tizzle. Durant took about five minutes to answer questions from the media including mine about a possible shoe deal. Durant says he doesn't know about any shoe deal. He is sneaky. The Texas freshman also signed autographs for fans and then quickly dashed off to his awaiting limo. Durant will work out for the Blazers Friday Morning.
