Day 499...
Happy Wednesday everyone! The events of 9-11 are still on my mind this morning as I woke up. That day had some many significant meaning to me in not only personal circles but professional ones as well. Some of today's modern media communication tools came out of that day. The ticker you see on your screen for sports and news broadcasts, well that was developed originally for financial computers and not news applications. After that day, the ticker became standard for sharing news and information that wasn't going to be covered on the broadcast. We now see that ticker and technology everywhere. I'm going to take a moment and reflect on yesterday's history just a little bit more. I think we all need it.
Day 500...
Happy Thursday! Today is day 500. I've had blog entries for 500 days. When you look back at what I've shared and what I've had the chance to experience. I've been blessed to share this journey with others.
Day 501...
Happy Friday! Last night was a lot of fun at work. The weather today was really nice. I know back east that isn't the case. Hurricane Florence is battering the coast and rainfall rates are very impressive. This storm isn't going to be making much progress in terms of movement over the next 24-96 hours. A lot of rain is going to fall.
Day 502...
Happy Saturday! What a great day for my teams! Michigan, Oklahoma, and Oregon all took care of business. I feel for Oregon State. They deserved to win that game, only to lose it on a last second kick. The Beavers will win more games, make that clear. Oregon will host Stanford next Saturday and ESPN is bringing College Gameday to campus. I can't wait to watch!
Day 503...
Happy Oregon area code day!
Day 504...
Happy Monday! The weather back east isn't getting any better, in fact it's not even close to being over. Water is still raising and probably won't peak until this weekend. Seeing the images of people and pets being rescued really tugs at your heart strings. The water and damage its doing will take many many years to fix and recover.
