Day 423...
Happy Thursday Everyone! Tonight were getting crushed at the bar and it's awesome. I love when the college kids are back. I know others don't feel the same as me, but that's too bad. When it's busy, I don't get the same requests and occasionally someone requests a gem of a song. Tonight, it happened. Check out this throw back classic from yesteryear.
I love George.
Day 424...
Happy Friday! It's been a very slow night tonight, so I'll keep this short. With the 4th of July just a couple days away, please remember to be safe, don't drink and drive, and if you are playing with fireworks, be safe. We don't need a repeat of the Eagle Creek fire. The state is already tinder dry and we don't need to burn more land because of carelessness.
Day 425...
Happy Saturday Night! I hope everyone's weekend is treating them well. I had a blast earlier today watching Oregon State take the NCAA Baseball Title. Despite the negative story line surrounding one of the players, the team overall made the plays when they needed too and they took advantage of the mistakes that Arkansas made. Congrats to Coach Casey.
Day 426...
Happy Sunday! Today is July 1st, my dad's birthday. This day has been tough the last couple years following his passing. We spend time as a family tonight at dinner just being with each other. I can't put into words what it feels like not having him here. There is so much I want to say and share but I can't. That's the single hardest part. I'm blessed to have the friends and family that I do, and I'm so very thankful for them each and every day. Happy Birthday Dad. I love you!
Day 427...
Happy Monday! Well I've eluded to a new project and I'm excited to give you some details. Later this week, I will be launching a second podcast. This podcast will be weather focused and I'm proud to announce that I will be co-hosting it with my friend Bonnie Bishop from Oklahoma. B Squared is the name of the podcast and each week we will examine some of the weather stories taking place across the US and the world. Bonnie is a meteorology major from Oklahoma City. She attended the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner) and brings a wealth of knowledge meteorologically speaking to the show. We've been trying to come up with a project to work on together since we both love weather. I think that this will be an incredible opportunity to discuss weather and give people a chance to share what they love about it. I'll have details on ways to interact with us soon.
