Happy Saturday! Today was a windy day around the northwest. A winter type storm had formed and High Wind Warnings were posted up and down the coast and into the inland valleys. It's been several years since I had a wired anemometer set up and working. I was able to purchase a used Davis system a couple weeks back and today was the day to set it up. I ran to Home Depot to pick up a stake to mount the anemometer too. I got back home as the gusts started to pick up. With the temporary set up I knew I wouldn't get the highest gusts, but thats okay. I was just happy to have a way to record the wind speeds.
While the winds outside were blowing, I was camped out on the couch watching the third round of the Masters. Saturday is called moving day because you are either moving up the leaderboard, or moving down it. Tiger and Phil were lucky to make the cut yesterday and today was another pair of rounds where the guys just weren't really able to move much. On the other hand, Rickie Fowler was lighting the course up. How about a 65 on moving day.
Once again, @RickieFowler may be on the verge of breaking through to win his first major. #themasters https://t.co/8S18sT4ssu— Masters Tournament (@TheMasters) April 8, 2018
Day 343....
Happy Masters Sunday! They say the tournament doesn't really start until the back nine, and it was so true this year. Patrick Reed had established the lead and Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler mounted a charge. Take a look at this infographic. It shows the charge and lead being maintained.
