For Christmas, my nephew Will got the Lego BB8 set as a gift. It's been sitting in its box, hidden away until today. Today was the day that I was going to get this project going. I've loved Legos ever since I can remember. I had a fire station as a kid, as well as the space shuttle. Over the years, sets have come and gone and I still like to free build if I have any time.
Each side of the build was a little bit different as the top and bottom were first and then the sides.
Here is the final assembly of the main body, minus the access door what would be attached via a simple hinge.
The final product is shown below. Overall, it took just about three hours. I can tell my back will be sore tomorrow from reaching and putting this awesome gift together. I know it will bring many hours of joy to Will,
