Trail Blazers to host
DISASTER RELIEF COLLECTION on Sunday
Team to collect monetary donations for residents of flood-stricken Northwest communities
WHO: Portland Trail Blazers organization and fans
What: In response to the recent floods that have devastated the Northwest, the Portland Trail Blazers organization will collect monetary donations from fans prior to Sunday’s 3:00 p.m. game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Trail Blazers are encouraging fund-raising by pledging to match up to $10,000 in collected donations. All funds raised from Sunday’s collection will benefit the American Red Cross’s disaster relief efforts throughout the region.
When: Sunday, December 9, 2007

Great move on the Blazers part. Any time a team can take part to helping the community recover is a good thing. Portland does a great job in helping the people of the Northwest. I will be chipping in a few dollars myself.
