Camera sends picture to live truck and then on to the microwave. The signal leaves the truck to an antenna and then onto the station. Matt watches his forecast on TV and then talks about it. Thats why he isn't on the screen. You can see he is wearing two black boxes. The one to the left is his wireless microphone. The larger box on his right is the IFB or interuptable feedback. Thats the box that allows the station to talk to Matt. The sat truck can also talk to Matt in his ear via the IFB. The Blazers game was close until the end when New Jersey pulled away. Blazers lose the first home game of the season. So close ! Matt also made an appearance in arena where it rained popcorn on the fans.

Live Weather Forecast
KGW's Matt Zaffino made an appearance at the Blazer game this evening. He was on hand selling his annual "NW Weather Calendar."
Matt was also handing out the "First Alert Storm Team umbrella. Matt did his weathercasts for the 5 and 6pm hour live inside the Rose Garden. Fellow AMS member Steve Pierce chatted with Matt just before his 6:40 weather hit. Matt's photographer, Kristin, helped get KGW sports guy Joe Becker a calendar, so Joe could talk about it during the sports segment, live from the floor of the garden. A live shot is pretty simple if you think about it.
