Oregon vs. Michigan Post Game Thoughts

WOW. I thought the game would be close. Many people thought that Oregon would be run out of the Big House after the loss to App St. Two things of note that I heard.

1. Mike Bellotti told his players "We need to make the Big House, our house" - Did they ever

2. The now infamous Bellotti Sledge Hammer was unleashed on the block "M" on the 50 yard line. If you don't know the story of the hammer, it dates back a couple years ago when Bellotti challenged his team at half time of a game at Stanford. To fire up his players, Bellotti used the hammer on a Stanford helmet and blew it to pieces. Its been with the team ever since.

I'm watching and taping the replay of the OSN broadcast. I have the ABC version on tape as well. I'll add it to the ever growing collection of Oregon moments I want to keep.

As many of you know, I am a Michigan fan too. Saturday was hard for me. I have all the respect in the world for Coach Carr and his Michigan team. It was hard to watch them. I'm very happy for Oregon. They have a chance to do something special. I hope they can. I hope to see Michigan in the Rose Bowl come January.

The following video is from last years Oregon Fresno State game. I think the Bulldogs can expect the same at Autzen this weekend.
