Gameday Tour Day 2

I left Portland just before 4pm. I made it to Eugene just after 6pm. I arrived at "The Cooler" and the place was pretty much packed. I was very surprised. I know that duck mania is sweeping the state, but I guess I don't get the full force of it 100 miles to the north. The Cooler sits a few hundred yard from Autzen stadium and it shows. The place is hopping after a game and it is decorated with everything duck. I caught up with Jerry Allen, the voice of the ducks. Jerry and I discussed this upcoming week. You can listen to the interview by clicking Here! Mighty Oregon was blasted through the bar just before the show took air. In the past, the show was called "Ducks Sports Rap", this year, they've opted to make it sound really cool....the new title, "Oregon Tail Gate Tuesday". Nothing says gameweek like a good tail gate on a Tuesday. Coach Bellotti chatted with fans and answered some great questions on the air. Three players also joined in the fun. Walter Thurmond III, Josh Syria, and T.J. Ward took questions from Joe Giansante, the television face of the ducks. Fans took home tee shirts and a lucky guy picked up a pair of tickets to the game this weekend. Still no word on where College Gameday will be set up. Some people think that they might set up on campus. The official word will be released on Wednesday. Eugene was buzzing with excitement. I can't wait to come back either Friday or early Saturday morning. I want to thank Jerry for his time and it is always appreciated.
