College Football Is Almost Here !
ESPN Classic will air 50 hours of college football leading up to the first game on Thursday night August 30th ! ESPN's College Gameday (the best tv show in my opinion) will again be live in a different city every Saturday. They will open at Virginia Tech on September 1st. Oregon opens at home against Houston. It is the home and home return game from 2005 when Oregon went down to Texas and took on the Cougars. They played the week after Hurricane Katrina struck and thousands of refugee headed to Houston. Oregon State opens at home against Utah. Oregon State is boasting about having the biggest replay board in the Pac-10. That might be the only thing that the Beavers could be excited about unless Sammie decides to show up. Oregon State has done a good job with moving on without the star player being at practice. If I'm a teammate of his, I don't think I would welcome him back with out a good reason for missing camp all this time. Back down the 5, the Ducks scrimmaged at NIKE in Beaverton. I'm hearing that the presentation to the donors was amazing. I truly believe that the new basketball arena will be built and operational in the next three years. As for football, September 1st is only 11 days away. The season tickets will arrive this week and I can't wait. I might try and sneak down to OSU on Thursday to see them take on Utah. Depends on work and what not.
