Basketball and 2 Bands Rock The Rose Garden
What a day. I was able to finally pull myself out of bed at 7am today. I've been waking up most days around 8am and just deciding what to do takes about a half hour. I had some things to get done today. I did what I needed to do and then sat with my twin sister, who has been suffering flu like symptoms and watched a movie. After the flick was over, I headed down to the Rose Quarter to watch some of the Blazers 3 v 3 tourney for the sponsors. My boys from Jammin didn't do well. They lost every game. The employees from KXL went 2 and 2 and made a slight impact. After finding out the other team didn't even work for one of the sponsors (they were a purchased team) I decided to leave because I was not happy for being witnessing a loss to a so-called fake team. Anyways, I grabbed some lunch and headed over to the parents bakery for a cookie and to just relax. I had been given the opportunity to attend a concert this evening featuring Martina McBride and Little Big Town or should I say Littler Big Town (they were down one lead singer, see what having kids does. I'm kidding !) LBT killed it. They were awesome. I like some of the music that they play, but honestly I wasn't thrilled to see them. I'm glad I did, they won me over. Also props to them for doing a killer cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way". It was awesome. Martina brought the house down with her vocals. She did the same last year at the Rose Garden. Speaking of "Rose Garden", Martina played her cover of that classic. I sang along since I like the song...its one of the ending hour songs for Mike Darcy and a regular on the iPod Shuffle. I think I looked silly singing along to a garden song....Whatever ! You are all jealous. Both shows were great and I'm glad I went. Martina finished up with a couple covers of rock songs such as "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" ! Everyone have a great weekend and talk with you all on Monday if nothing big breaks.
