Day 353...
Happy Wednesday Everyone! I went for my nightly walk tonight and chose a different route than I usually go. I walked along the greenspace under the powerlines and about three steps in, that smell of fresh grash took over my senses. The walk along side took all of five minutes, but I could have easily taken fifteen minutes. The cool night air with the smell of the grass was heavenly. I have no worldly idea what heaven will be like, and I know my dad, uncles, grandfather and grandmother, and countless others are experiencing it right now. I can't wait to join them and I hope that smell is there.
When I got back home, I checked the email, looked for a couple jobs and found a new series on Netflix. "Chronicles of a Champion Golfer" takes a look at six winners of the Open Championship. First episode in is Tiger Woods. Tiger recapped the wins and losses of playing the tournament, but one moment struck me. Tiger said growing up that his dad was always eye level with him when they talked. The elder Woods would get down on Tigers level to talk with him. "My dad never talked down to me.." I found this to be very interesting. It makes total sense to me now that I really think about it.
