Days 260...261...262

Day 260...

Happy Sunday!  Greetings from a very cold and very foggy Bend, Oregon.  I made the trip over this morning with my Mom to celebrate the engagement of my brother and his now fiance!  The weather was beautiful up until the last hour of the drive.  An inversion had settled in from Black Butte to Bend and extended up the east side of the Cascades to Mt. Hood.  Satellite pictures showed it well.  Here is the time lapse I shot coming up over Santiam Pass.  You can see the inversion as Black Butte comes into view!

Congrats to Ben and Marissa!  I can't wait for the wedding and I can't wait to see what they accomplish in not only marriage, but parents too.  Love you both!

Day 261...

Happy Monday!  The drive back from Bend was a quick one.  Both there and back we stopped in Detroit Lake.  This city depends on the lake, which is a reservoir that holds back the Santiam River.  The lake has seen some lean years in the past with droughts and having to deal with ecology issues.  One such issue is coming to light now.  There is a chance they might have to drain the lake in order to install a tower that will help control the temperature of the river.  Details can be found here. This will be something interesting to follow.

Day 262...

Happy Tuesday!  I have a new show to watch on Netflix!  The Crown has got me hooked only three episodes in.
