Day 208...
Happy Thanksgiving! As I look forward to this day each year, I'm reminded how blessed I truly am. I have an amazing family and a lot of awesome friends. When the Pilgrims left England, they had no idea what awaited them when they arrived. Talk about taking a leap of faith. It's really incredible what they endured and what they had to overcome just to survive. As you may or may not know, I'm the 13 direct descendant of two people who came over on the Mayflower. My line is traced back to John Alden and Priscilla Mullens (click here for more about John) (Click here for more about Priscilla). Included in this line is President John Adams and John Quincy Adams. You could say I get my love of politics from them.
As we sit down and gather around with family and friends, let us give thanks for what we have. Our country is divided, but we need to come together. The common ground is already there.
