It's the NBA Draft and all is right in the world. A couple new millionaires were made today with the decision of a team to draft a player to help them win a NBA Championship. The Blazers came into today with three first round picks...15, 20, and 26. Early in the draft, the tweets started coming in that Portland had cut a deal with Sacramento for the 10th overall pick. The Blazers would package picks 15 & 20 to Sacramento. Portland went with Zach Collins from Gonzaga.
The Blazers attention then moved to pick 26. CSNNW's Jason Quick was on air with Brian Wheeler and said he believed that Oregon's Jordan Bell would be the pick based on his workout and how his talents would fit the Blazers the best. I agreed with him, and truly hoped that Jordan would be a Blazer. The 26th pick came...and went without Jordan, instead Portland went with Caleb Swanigan from Purdue. That would be the only two picks Portland would have and make tonight. Jordan Bell, well his rights were purchased by Golden State. The reigning world champions just got a little bit better, if that was even possible.
