NOAA issued its official 2017 Hurricane season forecast this morning. Here is the breakdown...

The other big piece of news to come out of NOAA is that GOES-R has an official assignment. The latest weather satellite will become GOES-16 and will be stationed at GOES-E. The satellite will enter service in November.
