Weekend Picks

So Oregon is on the bye and OSU hosts Washington. I made the mistake of saying that OSU was playing USC. Todd goes off on me. My Bad !

Ryan Wenzinger:

Washington wins!

Mike Barrett:
Oregon State 24 Washington 21

No Canfield and no offensive line means trouble. That being said, the Beaver defense is good enough to keep them in the game, as long as they can contain Jake Locker. Oregon couldn't, and that's a concern. Bernard says he'll play, but he won't be at full strength. I still think OSU finds a way to get the victory to get bowl eligible.

Joe Reitzug:

Washington 28-14

Jeremy Daw:

Washington

Todd Mansfield:
Well, I am only doing this because Bobby Corser asked me
to. This week, it will be USC 24 OSU 3. I just have a gut
feeling about it...what? OSU is playing Washington in the
Seniors last hone game? Oh, I was just paying attention to
the Duck Loving Bobby Corser request to write about the OSU
USC game. Oh, I guess Bobby Corser is like the rest of the
media around here, all they want to cover is Oregon and
their Heisman hopeful in Dennis Dixon. They are focusing so
much on that, they forget that OSU has already played USC.
That was last week. There are two teams in this state. The
Media didn't forget about Oregon's baseball team the last
two years while OSU was winning National Titles...oh wait,
Oregon didn't have a baseball team. Oh wait, they still
don't. Oh wait, they won't be grabbing many players from
Oregon and the NW, they will go rob California, where their
coach is from. No worries, sounds like most of their teams.
They don't believe their is all that much talent in this
state, it must be in foreign countries and other states.
Just because we carry the Oregon name on our school doesn't
mean we have to recruit players from it. Hey, if you don't
like that, go on to their web page and look at the rosters
on teams like Tennis, WBB, MBB, Cheerleading - yes they are
actually making that a competitive team - and other sports.
This state has GREAT! talent in all sports, but Oregon
doesn't go after it!

To the game, OSU is in a world of hurt! Canfield OUT! That
leaves Moevao (pronounced MOY-VOW) for all of you who have
butchered it. The O-Line has been restructured for this
week. Players are in positions they have never been before.
The RB has a very sore shoulder. I saw the padding he was
wearing last week, and he didn't even play in the game. Hey
Bobby, that was when the Beavers were playing USC on
national TV in Los Angeles. They lost by the way, 24-3. So,
the OSU offense vs a porous Defense. Easy enough right? OSU
wins that but by only that much. Now, an awesome running
offense against an awesome defense. OSU's D will give up
plenty of yards to Locker, but they won't be giving up 255
to Louis Rankin. The nod goes to OSU D. They will force UW
to throw more than they want and that's when the OSU
corners step up. I predict at least 2 INT's and Turnovers
will tell the story. OSU wins this one, 28-14. That's

Bobby:
I’ll take Washington in this game. Oregon State is suffering and we all know, that you try hard to get rid of the problem, but this isn’t the game to do it. Locker runs wild around the big burrito !
