Draft Day is minutes away
Wow what a day. I had to be at the Blazers practice place this morning to talk with Kevin Pritchard, Blazers GM for one last Q and A with the media about the draft. He didn't tell us who was going to go number one. No surprise now.....more on that in a second. I've been fighting a small head cold, nothing too serious, but still a pain in the butt. I came home, sent the audio off to all involved parties and took a nap. I woke up mid afternoon and made plans to head back to the practice facility. I'm working for the Blazers on draft day as an radio engineer and freelance reporter. I had to set up some gear early, so I would have time to test it out when I get there on draft day. Since I had to be there within 24 hours, I was asked to keep clear of the war-room which was no problem. Draft day is always stressful for everyone. I will be posted up in the players lounge and walking around the PF waiting for updates for the radio guys. Its going to be fun. Back to the number one pick. Late Wednesday Night, Ric Bucher (Friend of SBR) is reporting the Oden's Camp has been told that they are number one in the draft. The Blazers and Pritchard are saying that they haven't said anything. The chess match will continue up to 4:13pm Pacific when the first pick is going to be announced. I won't be blogging while I'm at the practice facility as I need to be working.
