Aaron Brooks from the University of Oregon worked out for the Blazers today. He impressed the coaching staff with his shooting and speed. Brooks has been on the road working out and finishing his final semester at Oregon. Brooks will graduate on Saturday and will focus on his basketball career and family from here on out. Aaron is a good kid who has really come into his own over the last two years. A reporter asked him what was the difference between this season and last, Brooks kindly skirted the question. I'll step in and answer it for him...He had someone run the offense and that allowed him to do what he does best and that is direct traffic and shoot at will. Brooks will be a great addition to any team. I would love to see him in Portland or Seattle.
The ever negative Stephan A Smith has said that Oden will make the Blazers a playoff team in 2008. (Duh) Has Stephan had a change of heart ? Only weeks ago he was complaining about having to stay up late to watch Oden and how it was bad for the league to have the top picks in the Northwest. Hey A Smith, get a TIVO and be ready for the Blazers to not be in the 7th or 8th spot in the Playoffs, but in the top 4. Yes I said the top 4. Enjoy your late nights !
